ON VIEW: Sky Q is set to revolutionise the way we watch TVSky Q is set to revolutionise the way we watch TV.
With a new set-top box, touchpad remote, and refreshed on-screen look, it offers plenty of new features over the ageing Sky+ service.
However, before you get too excited there is a problem and it could end up hitting your pocket.
The Sky Q packages aren't quite as straight forward as they sound as they land in your lounge with two very different options.
The basic package is priced at £42 and includes a standard Sky Q box with a 1TB hard drive and the option to record three channels and watch a fourth.
If you want a more premium service you can grab the Sky Q Silver bundle.
This more expensive option costs £54 per month and includes an upgraded box with a 2TB hard drive more options to record – Sky also throws in a Q Mini box for free for Silver customers.

BASIC: The standard Sky Q box does't offer a multi-room experienceDAILY STAR ONLINE/DAVE SNELLING
BIG ISSUE: The Sky Q Mini box is not included on any Standard Sky Q packagesThis added Mini box brings TV fans one of Sky Q's best new features as it allows a multi-room experience without the need for cables or costly installation.
Two of these in-home streamers can be added to rooms in your house and offer a seamless viewing experience.
They can even allow viewers to pause a programme in one room and pick up from where they left off in another.
But there's an issue and it's a big one.
Sky Q Mini can only be used if you take out an 18-month contract on the more expensive Q Silver bundle.
Sky Q everything you need know
Even when you order online the Sky Q Mini option disappears the minute you accept the standard bundle.
We're guessing the 1TB hard drive, new remote and ability to stream shows to a tablet will still make the Sky Q basic service appealing to some.
But with Sky boasting its new service will "Set your TV free", many will be left hugely disappointed they can't add TV to other rooms.
Daily Star Online has contacted Sky to find out what happens if standard Sky Q customers want to add the premium Q Minis at a later date.
Sky say there are two options.
Firstly, Sky Q customers can keep their standard 1TB box but pay the £54 premium price each month.
This will then allow them to have access to a Sky Q Mini box.
Alternatively, customers can pay a one-off fee (ranging from £50-£200) for the Sky Q Silver box and continue with their cheaper £42 per month price plan.

APPS GOOD: Sky Q customers can still stream to a tablet with the basic serviceWe've been left a little bemused by Sky not including the Mini box on their standard tariff as this is one of the service's best new features.
Sky says this is purely to give customers a choice with many not bothered about having multi-room.
However, if you're thinking of opting for Sky Q we think there is only one option to go for.
With a free Mini box, extra tuners and the ability to watch Ultra HD 4K content, the Silver bundle offers far more features over its cheaper sibling.
Clearly, customers will have to make their own minds up about which option to choose, but if you think you might want multi-room viewing in the future, splash the extra cash and go Silver.
Here's what each service will cost you over the 18-month contractNOTE: These prices include the one-off extra set-up and installation fees as well as the standard monthly fee
