Samsung Galaxy S2 Tablet Rumored to Be Unveiled This Year!

According to rumors, Samsung are preparing to launch the Galaxy Tab S2 before the end of the year, as the company is already putting the finishing touches on the device. There are various speculations about what the tablet is going to offer exactly, and there are claims that it will come with an 8.0 inch screen running at a 1536×2048 resolution. It may be quite the advanced multimedia device in general, as it's also rumored to offer other features that are going to make it particularly attractive to media-centered users.

For example, there might be an 8 megapixel camera on the back of the tablet, and a 2.1 megapixel one on the front. In addition, it will also come with a 1.9 GHz processor according to the most prominent rumors, and will also have 3 GB of RAM for all the special multimedia needs of the user. If all those specifications turn out to be true, this could have some serious implications for the tablet and its position on the market.

Because it's clear in that case that it will be no ordinary tablet, and it should be able to run pretty much anything the user throws its way. From games to the heaviest apps on the Google Play store, this tablet should have no problem handling all applications. And that could make it a powerful tool not just for multimedia needs, but for more serious uses as well.

It could be a useful tablet in the hands of users who need to have some serious computational power at their disposal, and at the same time don't find a smartphone to offer enough. It's reportedly going to be quite the slim device as well, along the lines of Apple's iPad line, so that would make it a very good choice for those who value the compactness of their tablets and want a device that they can easily carry everywhere.

There are also rumors that the 8.0 inch version won't be the only available option for the tablet, and there might be a 9.7 inch model offered as well. It's going to come with the same specifications on the inside, but that shouldn't affect the performance negatively, especially if the larger model still uses the same resolution.

Speaking of which, both tablets are actually going to be offered with a 4:3 aspect ratio instead of the standard widescreen format that we see in most tablets and smartphones, which could be an interesting move from Samsung, although certainly nothing unique at this point.
