Orange County makes final preparations for Election Day

ORLANDO, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - Poll workers from all across Orange County began  arriving at the Orange County Supervisor of Elections Office warehouse Monday evening to pick up their precinct equipment for election day.

"We test the tablet prior to it going out so we do power up the tablet, build and check it out so it's 100% on point when it leaves here," said elections supervisor Tim Frazier.

Each poll worker is given four of E-poll tablets for their precincts, used for voters to check in, before casting their ballot on paper  --  all 247 precincts must have the tablets set up by the deadline Tuesday morning.

"We can tell here at the office if they're logged in if they're not logged in by 6:10 am , we start calling them saying 'hey, I see you're not logged in, is there a problem,'" Frazier said.

They'll have technicians in the field to trouble shoot any problems while the polls are open.

"We'll  be here st arting at 3:30 in the morning, and we don't go home until every poll worker is checked out so it's a long day for us," Frazier said.

Meanwhile more the 500,000 thousand ballots from early voting ballots that were tabulated  are being kept in a cage, stored sealed under lock and key.

"You're looking at we had over 255,000 people early vote, each on of them got two ballots, so over 510, ballots in the area, there are .5 million ballots in this caged area, " said Public Records Specialist Fred Altensee.
