Google Nexus 6P: Is It A Problem or Just Plain Unlucky

Google has released their monthly security update for devices running the Nexus Android on April 4 and it has crushed critical Android bugs.

There are 30 known vulnerabilities that have been fixed with this month's update in totality.

Most of the large phone and tablet makers have been quick to update their software with Google's monthly security patches. An additional 13 were given a "high" severity rating. If you have the device let us know what you think about it. The company said that despite the existence of the vulnerability, it hasn't received any reports of active exploitation of users.

They include a fix for a vulnerability that Google warned about two weeks ago and which is already being exploited by a publicly available rooting application.

The Google Nexus 6P may well be a great handset but despite it being power packed and having great looks there are some owners who have been reporting issues. Android enthusiasts with "regular" Android devices from their carrier or manufacturers like Samsung or LG have no choice but to wait on the sidelines as Nexus users have all the fun. Among the enhancements included in the latest version is a feature called Verify Apps, which is enabled by default. There are also fixes for several vulnerabilities that allow malicious apps to access the device owner's information. The 26 different components in Android Operating System, like Bluetooth, Mediaserver, Video kernel driver and many other have patched for vulnerabilities. It could have been done through email, web browsing, and MMS when processing the media files.
