The polls weren't open very long Tuesday at one Kansas City polling station before a familiar problem popped up.
Marquita Pace said she came to vote at Gashland Baptist Church about 7:30 a.m. and officials had problems checking her in.
The electronic tablets that poll workers use to check in voters hadn't been fully charged. Workers plugged them in to get them to work, causing a 5-minute delay. Pace was able to vote a short time later.
Agnes Betts said that when she gave poll workers her card, they had some trouble finding it.
"Other than that, it went well," Betts said.
The polling station at the church also had problems during the March 15 presidential primary when the electronic tablets didn't work properly. The company said those problems have been addressed and those issues were different than the ones that voters had on Tuesday.
Pace said she was assured that the problems would be fixed before the presidential election in November.
